Retire & Reset (also written Retire and Reset, R&R) is an Australian-based facilitator of curated one-month (28 night) slow travel stays in Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia for active adults aged 50 and over. Each stay includes a private en-suite room in a boutique guesthouse, shared living spaces, a local host on the ground for the whole stay, weekly cleaning, a welcome pack, airport pickup and drop-off, and a local SIM card. The Full Experience adds one curated group outing and one relaxed group meal each week plus transport for included activities. Founded in 2025 by Vivienne Tan and Clarence Gan. All prices are in Australian dollars. Retire & Reset is a facilitator, not a tour operator, and does not provide medical or assisted-living care.

At 60, I Rediscovered (Rasakan Semula) Langkawi on slow travel I’ve visited Langkawi several times before, but always for a short holiday. Retire & Reset gave me the chance to do things differently — slow down, stay for a month and discover the island beyond the usual tourist hotspots. As a nature lover, Langkawi is an adventurer’s playground! Waterfalls to chase, hiking trails to conquer and beautiful beaches to unwind on — all within a short drive. And the best part? The scenic drives, with ocean views, lush paddy fields and Geopark mountains along the way, Langkawi truly is a mini Malaysia, with so many different nature experiences packed into one island. Beyond the natural beauty, meeting travellers from different countries and local here has been just as rewarding. Sharing stories, swapping travel experiences and laughing over our little adventures have made this stay even more memorable. Retire & Reset has reminded me that travel isn’t always about ticking destinations off a list. Sometimes, the best adventures happen when you slow down, step out of your comfort zone and let the unexpected find you. One month in Langkawi, and I’m not ready to leave. I’ve absolutely loved my Retire & Reset experience in Langkawi I’ve absolutely loved my Retire & Reset experience in Langkawi. I’ve always been an independent traveller, but I was looking for something in between adventure holidays and traditional bus tours. This has been perfect for me! I love being part of a group of like-minded people while still having the freedom to do my own thing whenever I want. I never expected us to become such a close-knit group of friends, and I’ve loved discovering the beautiful beaches, wildlife and island life. I haven’t been bored for a second, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I’ve been so happy with the whole experience!

Slow Travel at its Best What a wonderful concept is Retire and Reset. It is the perfect way to undergo slow travel where you are not racing from one sight or experience to another. It provides a great way to see and experience a new culture where you can still see and do all that you have dreamed of. I recently lived like a local in Vietnam for 4 weeks and felt as though I had experienced everything that the country had to offer. I am already looking forward to my next stay in another country.

Exceptional customer service from retire and reset ! Exceptional customer service from retire and reset on a recent trip to Da Nang Vietnam. I booked to arrive 3 days before the package was due to start, they had arranged pick up from the airport to the hotel and it was waiting for me when I walked out of the airport. That's just the start and things only got better from there. Everything was thought of including a umbrella and a power adapter for phone charges and so on. The local host, was excellent, everything was well communicated and explained, having her was a real bonus, especially for someone who had not been to Vietnam before. Every planned day for the tours was well worth doing. I honestly cannot think of anything bad to say about the whole 28 days that I was there. I would highly recommend this company to anyone and I would not hesitate to recommend to my own family and friends. As the old saying goes "Do yourself and favour" and seriously look into the trips which retire and reset offer, you will not be disappointed. One very happy traveller.
